Who We Are:

Established in 2013 by brothers, Rueben and Leland Gardner, Marwood General Construction, is veteran-owned and operated, maintaining their strong military values of selfless service, honor, integrity and respect in all their endeavors.

Marwood General Construction provides General Contracting and Civil Construction services specializing in Civil Construction, Project Management, Site Preparation, Excavation, Grading, Underground Utility Installation, Trucking, Hauling and Erosion Sediment Control. We have worked with Federal and State organizations as well as Commercial and Residential clients. Currently serving the Pierce, Kitsap, Mason, Jefferson and King Counties of Washington.

Building a solid foundation for the growth, opportunity and sustainability of our local communities is our passion.

Our History

In 2013, Rueben Gardner returned home to Bremerton, Washington, after 12 years of active-duty Army service. He found the transition to civilian life to be more difficult than anticipated. Eventually, Rueben teamed up with his Navy veteran brother, Leland, to pursue his own venture.

The brothers had grown up performing construction work with their grandfather and decided to build their own construction company from the ground up. Marwood General Construction was finally born and named after their grandfather, Marwood “Red” Bingham who spent his entire life in marine construction.

Today, Marwood General Construction is a reputable, family-run business that the Gardner brothers couldn’t be more proud of. They look forward to growing their venture and honoring their grandfather’s legacy for years to come.
